a beautiful settlement of Preveza, built in an area with rich natural scenery. Around the village, hills, dirt roads and open areas spread out that offer wonderful views and a sense of freedom.

The archaeological site of “Kastri” is located on a hill, 3 km. south of the settlement of Rizovouni. The ancient acropolis on the top of the hill was declared by the Government Gazette 35/B/02.02.62, while the complex of buildings of the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos was declared by the Government Gazette 693/B/19.08.97.

Kastri of Rizovouni is identified with Vaties, an Ilian colony.
